Partner Lonnie Greenblatt was selected to the 2021 Maryland Super Lawyers List, and Partner Elnur Veliev and Associate Virginia Tehrani were selected to the 2021 Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Ms. Tehrani was also selected to the 2021 DC Super Lawyers Rising Stars List. All earned this distinction for the legal category of “Personal Injury General – Plaintiff,” which is exactly the firm’s legal focus.
Mr. Greenblatt joins this elite list as one of no more than 5% of the lawyers in Maryland named as a Super Lawyer. This is the second year he has received this honor. Mr. Veliev and Ms. Tehrani join no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in Maryland for their honors as Rising Stars. This is Mr. Veliev’s fourth year as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in Maryland; it is Ms. Tehrani’s first year as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in Maryland and her second year as a Rising Star in DC.
Their selections were made by the Super Lawyers organization, a Thomson Reuters business, which is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice areas.
The distinction between the Super Lawyer and Super Lawyer Rising Star designations is that of age and years of practice. For the Rising Star designation, the only attorneys eligible for this award are those who are either 40 years old or younger or those who have practiced in their nominated State for 10 years or less.
