Rockville, MD – Fire at Bethany House Apartments on Rollins Ave Leaves One Injured
Rockville, MD (January 8, 2022) – A fire broke out at the Bethany House Apartments on Friday that sent one adult to a local hospital with injuries. At around 6:30 p.m., on January 7, the police and firefighters in Montgomery County were requested at a fire on Rollins Avenue.
Reports from the Montgomery County Police Department show that a fire broke out inside the Bethany House Apartments located at 199 Rollins Avenue. The eight-story senior citizens' residential apartment structure sustained moderate damage on the fifth floor.
The Montgomery County Fire Rescue assisted several people in exiting the building as others battled the blaze.
One person in the structure suffered moderate injuries. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital with priority two traumatic injuries.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
