Silver Spring, MD – Pedestrian Struck & Killed on New Hampshire Ave
Silver Spring, MD (January 14, 2022) – A pedestrian has suffered fatal injuries after a vehicle crashed through the parking lot of the Capital One Bank during the afternoon hours on Friday, January 14.
Local news sources show that a light-colored minivan was traveling in the area of 13301 New Hampshire Avenue when it crashed through the front of the Capital One Bank, taking down a pillar and striking a pedestrian. The vehicle then proceeded through the parking lot and crashed into a pole.
The pedestrian, identified as an adult victim, was left with life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel treated the victims while at the scene. However, the pedestrian later passed away from their injuries.
Local police are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
