Bicycle accidents are more likely to result in severe injuries because riders are not protected as well as those traveling in cars, trucks, or SUVs.In many cases, victims have to go through immediate surgery for their injuries. When victims suffer from compound fractures, they often require surgery and months of therapy. Victims who suffer from spinal cord injuries often require immediate medical attention. Many victims require years of therapy and suffer some type of paralysis. Injuries like traumatic brain injuries may have surgical options. However, victims often deal with long-term pain and suffering and other disabilities from these injuries.
