Car Accidents in Maryland
Tens of thousands of people suffer injuries in auto wrecks in Maryland every year. These accidents are often caused by the negligent actions of drivers. Some of the most common causes of collisions according to statistics are:Reckless driving: There are a lot of crashes that occur in our state due to drivers who act like they are operating race cars. These drivers speed, fail to yield the right of way, and even run stop signs or red lights. Reckless driving also includes changing lanes without paying attention to others sharing the road.
Fatigued driving: Driving drowsy is incredibly dangerous. People who are tired lack the ability to adequately control their speed, remain in their lanes, and stop to avoid crashes. As a result, many fatigued drivers cause crashes in our state.
Intoxication: We see a lot of people who enter the roadways while drunk or impaired by drugs. Being intoxicated can make it nearly impossible to control a vehicle.
Distraction: People who use their phones or engage in other distracting actions are one of the leading causes of crashes in our state.
These actions while operating vehicles can be quite dangerous.
