Car Accidents in Maryland
Just about every week, more than 2,300 people are hurt in crashes in the state of Maryland. This accounts for nearly 10 people every hour of every day. These accidents can often be prevented. However, when people fail to responsibly operate their vehicles, they leave others sharing the road at risk of suffering severe injuries. In many instances, people who are hurt in crashes are left with broken bones, internal organ damage, and even debilitating spinal cord injuries. Being hurt in a crash means that you will have to go to a local hospital for some form of medical care. Dealing with the immediate and long-term impacts of crashes is not only expensive but can be mentally and physically draining.
Victims often have to come up with tens of thousands of dollars to cover medical costs after their crash. When victims suffer severe injuries, it can easily add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical costs alone. Fortunately, when people are hurt in crashes due to the actions of other motorists, they often have legal options to help them secure compensation to cover these and other costs.
