Car Accidents in Maryland
Every year, more than 60,000 bus crashes occur in the United States. Given the fact that buses carry a significant number of passengers, these crashes often turn out to be mass casualty incidents.Being involved in a bus accident can increase the severity of injuries that victims sustain. The fact that there are a lot of people on buses means it can be more challenging for medical personnel to render timely aid to those in need. Regrettably, these crashes often result in serious and life-threatening injuries. Some of the most common injuries bus crash victims are left with include:
- Broken bones or severe and debilitating compound fractures
- Traumatic brain injuries that require immediate medical care
- Spinal cord injuries, which can result in paralysis
- Severe cuts, scrapes, and abrasions
- Burn injuries that cause nerve and muscle damage
