Clarksburg, MD – Bicyclist Struck by Truck, Injured near Stringtown Rd & Frederick Rd
Clarksburg, MD (March 12, 2022) – A bicyclist suffered serious injuries as a result of a truck-involved crash in Clarksburg early Friday evening, March 11.
Just before 4:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services and the police were called to a crash on Stringtown Road. A 60-year-old man was riding a bicycle on Stringtown Road near Frederick Road in Clarksburg.
A vehicle that was traveling northbound on the road struck the rider, resulting in severe injuries. Bystanders rushed to the rider and performed life-saving actions until MCFRS EMS responded.
The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to a hospital where they went through emergency surgery.
The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating this crash.
