Car Accidents in Maryland
Tens of thousands of auto wrecks take place every year in Maryland. More than 90% of crashes are a result of drivers engaging in reckless, negligent, or even malicious actions while operating their automobiles. Some of the most common actions that lead to life-changing Maryland wrecks include:
- Aggressive Driving: People continue to speed while operating their vehicles. This drastically reduces the chances of drivers maintaining control over their vehicles. Changing lanes without looking, tailgating, and various other aggressive acts continue to harm people daily in our state.
- Impairment: People who enter the road with a blood-alcohol content above 0.08% often have a difficult time controlling their vehicle. Driving while under the influence of any amount of alcohol can drastically impact your vision, judgment, and reaction time.
- Distractions: People continue to get behind the wheel while texting and talking on their phones. People are distracted by their phones and other objects or people simply cannot pay full attention to the road ahead. As a result, they crash into other vehicles, objects, and people.
