Wheaton, MD – Two-Vehicle Accident on I-495 Georgia Ave & Colesville Rd
Wheaton, MD (March 28, 2022) – The firefighters and police officers in Montgomery County were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Saturday evening that resulted in injuries for at least one of the people involved.
Just after 9:20 p.m., on March 26, emergency requests were made with regards to a collision that occurred on the inner loops of Interstate 495.
Reports provided by the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services show that two vehicles were involved in a crash on the roadway. The collision, which occurred near exit 30B, caused delays between Georgia Avenue and the area of Colesville Road. Several lanes were blocked by the crash, which caused delays in traffic.
The MCFRS EMS provided medical care to people who suffered injuries as a result of this crash before transporting them to nearby hospitals.
Investigations surrounding the incident are underway with the Montgomery County Police Department.
