Burtonsville, MD – Pedestrian injured in Auto Wreck on Old Columbia Pike near Greencastle Rd
Burtonsville, MD (April 17, 2022) - A pedestrian-involved motor vehicle accident that took place in Montgomery County left one person injured on Saturday. At 9:50 p.m., on April 16, the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services EMS responded to an automobile wreck on Old Columbia Pike.
Reports from the Montgomery County Police Department show that a pedestrian, identified only as an adult, was walking in the area of Old Columbia Pike and Greencastle Road during the evening. A vehicle passing through the area struck the pedestrian.
The victim was injured in the crash. The adult victim was transported to a hospital in the area where they went through medical care for priority two traumatic injuries.
The police in Montgomery County is currently conducting an investigation to determine why the pedestrian was struck.
