Car Accidents in Maryland
Being harmed in a crash can completely change your life. This is truer if you suffer serious injuries. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people in our state are severely injured in crashes every year. We see many victims left with serious injuries that demand medical care. Some of the injuries that car accident victims suffer from include:Spinal cord injuries: Any injury to the spinal cord can be completely debilitating. When a person suffers a complete spinal cord fracture, they are left permanently paralyzed. Victims who suffer incomplete spinal cord injuries may be able to recover. However, these injuries take months or even years of therapy and rehabilitation to recover from.
Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI): This type of injury can impact your mental and physical health and well-being. Those who suffer from traumatic brain injuries often have ongoing pain and suffering. Many people have problems with memory, balance, and decision-making. We also see victims with TBIs suffer the loss of control of various bodily functions. These injuries often require months or even years of treatment.
Broken bones: This is one of the most common injuries suffered by people involving car accidents. Broken bones can range from simple fractures to severe compound fractures that result in the loss of limbs. Dealing with broken bones can mean casting, surgery, and ongoing treatment.
When people suffer serious injuries in accidents, it is not only bad that they have to deal with physical and mental pain and suffering, but they often face towering financial consequences due to medical bills, therapy costs, and medications. When people are hurt in car crashes due to the negligence of others, they may be able to pursue a legal action against the at-fault party to obtain compensation to cover these bills and more. By working with a Cloverly car accident lawyer, you will be in the best position possible to get justice.
