White Oak, MD – Teen Injured in Crash on Columbia Pike at Prelude Dr
White Oak, MD (May 7, 2022) – A crash that occurred in white oak on Thursday, May 5, sent one Gaithersburg teen to a local hospital with serious injuries. Just before 10 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Police was dispatched to a wreck on Columbia Pike.
The police report that a 19-year-old male was walking near the intersection of Columbia Pike and Prelude Drive during the evening hours. A gray 2014 Ford Fusion was traveling north on Columbia Pike at the same time.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the teen in a designated crossing area. The pedestrian was seriously injured and rushed to a local hospital.
The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) detectives are investigating the pedestrian crash.
