Wheaton, MD – 3-Year-Old Dies from Crash Injuries on Connecticut Ave near Atherton Dr
Wheaton, MD (May 20, 2022) – A young child who was less severely injured following an accident in the Wheaton area on Thursday has passed away from his injuries, according to the Montgomery County police. On May 12, emergency crews were called to provide assistance at a crash that blocked Connecticut Avenue.
Reports provided by the police in Montgomery County indicate that a Ford F-150 pickup truck turn left onto Connecticut Avenue from Atherton Drive when he became involved in a collision with a Kia Optima.
A total of six people suffered injuries due to this crash. Several of the injured people were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care.
Authorities confirmed that one child, identified as a three-year-old, has died from their injuries.
At this time, the Montgomery County Police Department continues its investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
