Clarksburg, MD – Auto Wreck with Bicycle on Frederick Rd near Clarksburg Rd Leaves Cyclist Injured
Clarksburg, MD (May 24, 2022) – A crash that took place in Clarksburg on Monday evening, May 24, sent one teenager to a local hospital with injuries. At around 4:35 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Department, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services, and EMS were all dispatched to an auto wreck on Frederick Road.
Reports from MCPD show that a teenager was riding a bicycle in the area of Frederick Road and Clarksburg Road during the early evening hours. For unknown reasons, a vehicle traveling through the area struck the teen rider.
The bicyclist sustained injuries as a result of this crash. MCFRS EMS rendered aid to the victim on-site before transporting them to a local hospital for further care.
The police and firefighters remained on-site for an extended time as they worked to clear the scene and initiate investigations. At this time, the investigations are ongoing.
