Pedestrian Accidents in Maryland
Being involved in a pedestrian accident can completely transform a victim’s life. When children are involved in these accidents, they are more susceptible to suffering severe injuries. In many cases, we see pedestrians left with broken bones, spinal cord injuries, and severe cuts, scrapes, and lacerations following accidents. Unfortunately, over 3,000 pedestrians are hurt in motor vehicle accidents every year in our state. When pedestrians are harmed in accidents, they may be able to pursue a personal injury claim against the person at-fault for the accident. In order to prevail, a victim must be able to demonstrate that elements of negligence existed during the crash. This involves proving that the defendant owed you a duty of care. Despite owing you this duty, the driver engaged in some type of action that breached the duty. As a result of the breach, you suffered injuries that led to damages.
