Gaithersburg, MD – Bicyclist Injured in Car Crash on S Frederick Ave near S Westland Dr
Gaithersburg, MD (June 20, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Gaithersburg area ended in injuries. At around 7:45 p.m., on June 18, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on South Frederick Avenue.
Reports from local authorities show that a bicyclist was traveling through the intersection of South Frederick Avenue and South Westland Drive during the afternoon hours. For unknown reasons, they became involved in a crash with a car.
The incident caused delays near the ramp from Interstate 370 as emergency crews closed off the roadway to assist at the scene.
The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services EMS rendered aid to the victim on-site before transporting them to a local hospital for further care.
