Germantown, MD (July 6, 2022) - A motor vehicle accident with injuries blocked several lanes in the Germantown area causing delays in traffic. At around 1115 p.m., on July 5, the Montgomery County Police Department and firefighters were notified that a crash on Brandermill Drive required assistance.
Reports provided by authorities show that a collision between vehicles occurred on Brandermill Drive in the area of Apperson Place. The impact of the crash caused at least one vehicle to catch on fire. At least one person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.
The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services assisted the police in closing the roadway as they worked to clear the area.
MCRFS EMS rendered aid to victims on-site and transported those in need of further care to area hospitals.
The police department in Montgomery County is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
