Olney, MD – Injuries Reported in Crash on MD-200 near Georgia Ave & Shady Grove Metro Access Rd
Olney, MD (July 14, 2022) – A crash took place in the Olney area on Wednesday evening that left at least one person injured. Just after 6 p.m., on July 13, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash that occurred on Maryland State Route 200.
Reports provided by authorities show that a collision between three vehicles blocked the westbound side of Maryland State Route 200 near mile marker 7.6. The incident caused delays in the area between Georgia Avenue and the Shady Grove Metro Access Road.
Emergency medical services with the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services responded to the scene to render aid to victims. An unknown number of injured parties were then transported to area hospitals for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
