Aspen Hill, MD – Man Mauled by Dog near Bailey’s Court and Norbeck Rd, Four Injured
Aspen Hill, MD (July 23, 2022) – One adult man was hospitalized with severe and traumatic injuries as a result of a dog attack in the Aspen Hill area on Wednesday afternoon that left a total of four people hurt. On July 20, the Montgomery County Police Department and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue responded to a major incident reported on Bailey’s Court.
Preliminary investigations show that an adult man was traveling in the area of Bailey’s Court and Norbeck Road when he was attacked by a dog. The dog continually bit the man’s legs and forearms and refused to stop.
The male victim suffered severe injuries as a result of the attack. Three people who attempted to assist the man were also attacked by the dog. The male victim was hospitalized in severe condition with priority one traumatic injuries. The three other victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were rushed to local hospitals with priority three trauma.
The dog was signed over to the Montgomery County Animal Services for it to be euthanized.
The incident is under investigation at this time.
