Silver Spring, MD – Man Fatally Injured in Metrobus Crash on New Hampshire Ave near Lockwood Dr
Silver Spring, MD (July 26, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident report and in the Silver Spring area claimed one person’s life. Around 9 p.m., on July 24, the Montgomery County police and area firefighters responded to a crash that took place on New Hampshire Avenue.
Police reports show that a 25-year-old man was driving a van in the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Lockwood Drive. For unknown reasons, the vehicle became involved in a collision with a blue 2008 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota was then struck by a Metrobus.
The van’s driver was fatally injured due to the accident and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the car and the bus driver were both transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.
The crash is under investigation at this time by the Montgomery County Police Department.
